What Is Coaching?
Professional coaching is an ongoing relationship that focuses on clients taking action toward the realization of their visions, goals or desires. Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build the client’s level of awareness and responsibility, and provides the client with structure, support, feedback and a means for accountability.

How Coaching Works
Coaching generally happens through regularly scheduled phone meetings. E-mails, faxes and voice mail are used for “between meeting” contact and are also the means for “checking-in” or reporting progress - the accountability component of coaching. (Face-to-face meetings, while not necessary, can also be conducted, when geographically possible.)
Prior to each meeting, the client typically completes and sends ahead a "call agenda" or "call preparation form" which outlines the client's agenda and focus for the call. Then, the client calls the coach at a pre-determined time for the coaching session.
