John P. Boggs, an attorney with the labor and employment law firm of Fine, Boggs, Cope and Perkins, LLP Half Moon Bay, CA, is intimately familiar with the labor and employment issues auto dealers face. He provides preventative training to numerous businesses and state dealer trade organizations including the California Motor Car Dealers Association.  

 Willard J. De Filipps, CPA, Mt.  Prospect, IL, is the publisher of Dealer Tax Watch, a quarterly update of essential tax information for auto dealers, and LIFO Lookout a quarterly newsletter with specialized coverage of LIFO news and developments.  He is the founder of three groups of CPA firms specializing in serving auto dealers.  He is recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts in LIFO accounting for automobile dealerships.  

Paul F. Gillrie, of the Paul Gillrie Institute, Inc., Odessa, FL, consults with dealers from the US and Canada in negotiating the purchase of systems, leases and/or resolving computer problems.  In recent years, Mr. Gillrie has negotiated hundreds of deals worth millions of saved dollars to dealers.  

Terri S.  Harris, Grand Rapids, Ml, the Internal Revenue Service Motor Vehicle Technical Advisor, joined the Motor Vehicle program in 1990.  Ms. Harris consults frequently with examiners, taxpayers, industry experts, and IRS specialists and assists in developing innovative resolutions to industry issues.  

Terrell J. Isselhard, is an attorney/shareholder with the Chicago law firm Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., and has been practicing law for over 30 years.  Mr. Isselhard concentrates in the areas of family succession planning for owners of closely held corporations, estate planning, and general corporate and business tax planning matters.  

Sandi Jerome, of Sandi Jerome Computer Consulting, Port Angeles, WA, brings over 20 years experience in the automobile business to her position as editor of Digital Dealer, a publication of Dealer Magazine.  Her series of self-study guides on the automobile business is used by CPA firms for continuing professional education.  She has reviewed tax and accounting software for computer magazines and has written books on using computers in the automotive business.  

 John T. McDonald is Executive Director, 20 Group Services of Management Performance Groups in Atlanta, GA.  Mr. McDonald spent 10 years with General Motors Corporation Field Marketing Group and then had 13 years of automotive retail experience as both a sales manager and President/GM in several dealerships prior to his work at MPG.   

Paul R. MacDonald co-founder of TriMac Automotive Advisory Group, Hays, KS, has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry.  Former NADA Director from the State of Kansas, he was the first Chairman of the new NADA Information Technology Committee.  He consults with numerous dealerships, industry publications and organizations.

Daniel E. Myers, an attorney with Myers, Forehand & Fuller, P.A., Tallahassee, FL, a law firm whose principal focus is automobile franchising, specializes in representing adversely affected existing dealers in "open point" cases, dealership relocations, dealership terminations, buy-sells, factory audits, Project 2000 disputes and rejections of dealership transfers.  He has served on the NADA’s Legislative Committee.  

 James B. Smith is CEO of Southwest Reinsure, Inc., a third-party administrator of producer-owned reinsurance companies in Albuquerque, NM.  He has extensive experience in insurance accounting, taxation, and administration, and serves on the Insurance Industry Task Force on Producer-Owned Reinsurance Companies.  

Mark D. Schmitz, Ph.D., of Mark D.  Schmitz & Associates, Park City, UT, is a nationally recognized expert on dealership valuation.  He consults and testifies frequently regarding estate plans, buy-sells, public offerings, divorces and litigation between dealers, banks and manufacturers.  Dr. Schmitz’s many publications include accounting manuals for BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Honda, the first edition of NADA’s Guide to Valuing an Automobile Dealership and Effective Financial Management and numerous articles.  

James L. "Butch” Williams, CPA, CVA, CBA is the member in charge of the Dixon Odom business valuation and litigation services team in its Birmingham, AL, practice office.  Mr. Williams has more than 23 years of experience in dealership valuation consulting, and he is currently Chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Business Valuations and Appraisals Subcommittee.  

John Wilmoth, Principal in Wilmoth & Associates, LLC, of Sanger, TX, has over 27 years of experience in the valuation of corporate assets, including 13 years with the largest independent valuation firm in the country and 12 years as a Partner with Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he had firmwide responsibility for the cost segregation service line.
